The Novacash Ecosystem consists of the following components:
Core Wallet
Novacash Core Wallet is the official Novacash full node client. With the Novacash Core Wallet you can send and receive NOVA coins. If you’re running a Novacash Core Wallet, then you have the option to stake your coins and receive staking rewards.
Light Wallet
The lightweight wallet does not download the complete blockchain. Instead, it signs transactions locally on the device, and sends the signed transaction to supernodes for publishing to the network. Lightweight nodes are easy to maintain and run.
Gallery (Creative Commons Sharing Platform)
Novacash offers a Creative Commons sharing platform called "Gallery". In the current version only photos are supported. Artists post photos that are licensed under Creatitve Commons, which are reviewed and accepted by curators. Artists and curators are rewarded with NOVA coins. With the earned NOVA coins, users can obtain photos from other artists.
Masternode
Masternodes are nodes running the same wallet software on the same blockchain to provide extra services to the network. These services include instant transactions with SwiftX for example. For providing such services, you (the masternode owners) are also paid a certain portion of reward for each block. This can serve as a passive income for you over the lifetime of the masternode.
Supernode
Supernodes are high performance blockchain nodes which form the backbone of the Novacash blockchain network. Accounts with 5,000,000 or more NOVA coins can operate a supernode, either from a local computer or from a cloud-hosted server. Supernodes are required to be up and running 24 hours per day, processing all transactions. Supernodes are designed to provide advanced services like acting as paying gateways for light wallets, governing storage nodes etc.
Storage Node
Storage nodes provide disk space for storing Creative Commons artworks etc. Storage node operators receive regular payment for the services they provide to the network.
